Director's Cut by Tobias Levin and Oliver Sogard

We (Oliver Søgård & Tobias Levin) have been doing card flourishes – which is the art of manipulating ordinary playing cards in an aesthetically beautiful and interesting way – for almost five years. We have gone from making small Youtube videos filmed in our living rooms, to professional and popular tutorials and performance videos. Now after all this time we are finally ready to teach you some of our best card flourishes.

About one year ago we came up with the idea of making a DVD teaching our card flourishes, and now after half a year of planning and producing it's ready for you to experience. In a small card flourishing community, the resources for learning are limited and we wanted to produce something that would both be entertaining and educational to the people who have helped and inspired us over the years. For us, this is more than just an instructional DVD – it's the last five years of fiddling with playing cards, compressed down to this awesome and exciting project for you to experience.

- The DVD and a 10 minute in-depth Padiddle digital streaming explanation (Padiddle is a very hard move, and this video will help you tremendously in achieving the ability to spin a card on your finger for more than five minutes)

Here is a list of the 8 main flourishes on the DVD:

Transfix

A packet seemingly gets pushed out and over the deck, then returns on top only to be spun around itself one more time.

Acridid

An X-display transforms and closes itself with a complex zig-zag motion.

Maverick

A simple and cleverly constructed card flourish with a packet revolving quickly around the thumb.

Rolling Stones

Packets revolves all around the hands in this rolling mess of eye candy.

Prince Charming

Also known as the one handed Flirt. A card quickly spins out of the deck and returns on top.

Huntington

A smooth and beautifully flowing flourish containing spins, glides and cuts. It has been recognized as one of Tobias' best moves.

Slidington

One of Oliver's signature moves which involves a confusing yet controlled cut in the beginning and ends with a card sliding on top of the deck.

Dragonfly

Two packets simultaneously rotates in an elegant manner. Like the wings of a dragonfly.
